Love comes from God. "Perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment." "God is Love." "Whoever loves God must also love his brother."
In short.
Love isn't that we loved God but He loved us. Whoever does not love, does not know God...
God is love.
He loved me even when I was useless to Him.
