Loneliness...
...has nothing to do with Razzles.
But in all seriousness, this past week I haven't been to any of my classes because I was terribly sick. I still kind of am. My ailment(if it can be considered that) has given me the opportunity to think about loneliness.

Merriam Webster defines it as such: the state of being without company; to be cut off from others; not frequented by human beings

ehhh... not quite right M.W.
Loneliness is not being isolated but it feeling isolated even when you are surrounded by human beings.
According to Warren Weirsbe loneliness is "the malnutrition of the soul that comes from living on substitutes."

What substance are you replacing with substitutes? For most it is replacing love with lust; spiritual wealth with money, and peace with power. It results with loneliness.

Instead of doing all of that, try replacing the world with the word.

"Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish."
Psalm 25:16-17

"Comfort, Comfort my people,
says your God.
Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been
completed,
that her sin has been paid for,
that she has received from the Lord's
hand
double for all her sins.
A voice of one calling:
'In the desert
prepare the way for the Lord;
make straight in the wilderness
a highway for our God.
Every valley shall be raised up,
every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
the rugged places plain.
And the glory of the Lord will be revealed,
and all mankind together will see it.
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.'"

Psalm 37:7-9
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper—it only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.

In the Bible, we are commanded to be lights unto the world. Spreading the gospel and God's outstanding, unfailing love to everyone. Doesn't that seem like a lot of pressure? Or doesn't it seem like a hassle? No, not if you are doing it correctly.
Lately, all I've been thinking about is how to be an example of God... how can someone like me glorify and reflect someone like Him? That question has been swirling around in my mind for days. The answer is so clear  but it is honestly easier said than done. In the times that we are confronted with situations where it is easier to follow the flesh than follow God, the answer tends to disappear. The answer is: Love God.

By loving God, we will automatically just want to love everyone and follow his commands. If we really have our sights set on Him, then the rest will fall into place.

So, in short, this next week all I am going to do is focus on expanding my ability to love. Not the sissy, frilly, Hollywood-hot-pink kind of love, but the real stuff. The love that is willing to work through the dirty and the tough times.

"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"

24-25-26-27-28

This weekend I went to Colorado with my Highschool group at church. It was a lot of fun, but I did not have internet access hence the lack of posts. Otherwise, I most definitely, would have posted everyday.

I learned a lot this weekend. Mostly about God's love for us, second chances, and how we should keep ourselves from running from God.

God's love for us:

Second Chances:
We always want second chances... we don't deserve them. God gives them to us any ways. He easily could smoke us when we do something wrong, yet He is eager to forgive us and give us second chances.

Keep ourselves from running from God:
Remember Jonah? Yeah... that story pretty much sums all of this up. God will get his way and his way is so much better than ours. It is ridiculous how we are so fast to say that our way is best. We know nothing compared to the knowledge of the God of this universe. He has a plan for us and will never put us in harms way.

This weekend I also realized how important communication is... in all aspects. We need to talk to people when we have issues with them. We need to communicate with God through prayer. Most of all we need to communicate the love of God to others.

Have a blessed day.

Twenty- three.

Peel back our ribs again
and stand inside of our chest.
We just wanna' love you
We just wanna' love you

Peel back the veil of time
And let us see You with our naked eyes
We just wanna' love you
We just wanna' love you

We want your blood to flow inside our body
We want your wind inside our lungs
We just wanna' love you
We just wanna' love you

Skeleton bones stand at the sound of eternity
On the lips of the found
And gravestones roll
To the rhythm of the sound of you
Skeleton bones stand at the sound of eternity
On the lips of the found
So separate those doors
And let the son of resurrection in.

Oh let us adore the
Son of Glory drenched in love
Open up your gates before him
Crown Him, stand Him up

"For non of us lives for ourselves alone, and non of us dies for ourselves alone. If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord.So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. For this reason, Christ died and returned to life so that He might be Lord for both the dead and the living."

Twenty One.

Happy Valentines Day.

John 3:16-21 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+3:16-21&version=NIV
He sent his son, we live, we won't be condemned. 18-20 "Whoever lives in the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly what he has done has been done through God."

John 17:9-24 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=john%2017:9-24&version=NIV
Jesus prayed for us; that we may be like Him and that God would have mercy on us. He wants us to be glorified and sanctified like He is.

Romans 8:31-38 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans%208:31-38&version=NIV
Nothing will be able to separate us from our Lord. "We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

Ephesians 2:4-6 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ephesians%202:4-6&version=NIV
God made us alive in Christ even though we were dead in our sins. God has seated us up with him in heaven through Christ.

1 John 4:7-21 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1%20John%204:7-21&version=NIV
Love comes from God. "Perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment." "God is Love." "Whoever loves God must also love his brother."

In short.
Love isn't that we loved God but He loved us. Whoever does not love, does not know God...

God is love.

He loved me even when I was useless to Him.

i found a really cool picture of a fox today. but i cant put it up for the reason listed below. but heres a though to ponder... chew on it if you will. when people do you wrong and are spreading nasty rumors about  you or being mean, your first instinct is to yell at them and be mean bac, right? we are called to respond in a loving way because if we dont givedont give them a reason to do these things then their actions are pointless and they are the ones to blame. that is all.reason for this weird day post:::im doing this off of my phone. it is super difficult because it is a touch screen and with touch screens you click on one side of the screen and it takes you to narnia. also, with this i cannot use capital letters. my apologies.

"You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through Him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation."

Romans 5:6-11
